National Volunteer Week FREE Events

Volunteering brings people together; it builds communities and creates a better society for everyone. National Volunteer Week is a chance for all of us to celebrate and recognise the vital work of volunteers and to say thank you. Together, through volunteering, we are changing communities for the better, you are “The Change Makers”.

This year to honour volunteers and volunteer organisations in our community there will be a week of celebration, networking, training and workshops. Celebrations commence on Monday the 15th with a Sundowner at the City of Busselton followed by a day of workshops and networking and information by Connect Groups and on Thursday Accidental Councellor Training from Relationships Australia. The week culminates in a Volunteer Expo at Signal Park Markets on Sunday the 21st May where nineteen community groups who have volunteer roles will be on hand to answer questions about volunteering and showcase what their organisation does and how people interested in volunteering can get involved.
