Vasse Community Tree Planting - https://treeday.planetark.org/site/10023928
We will be planting trees along the Wadandi Track in the area of the Vasse Playing Fields. It's a wonderful opportunity to watch your trees grow up and to enhance the natural habitat in the Vasse area. We have 200 trees available for planting, and are allowing a maximum of 40 people to attend this event (5 trees per person). We will have some prizes to give away from Busselton Toyota and Vasse Estate, and a lovely BBQ put on by the Vasse Lions. As we are right near the Playing Fields and are encouraging the event to be spread out, if you are bringing children, you are welcome to bring a ball or hoola hoop, or something fun to play with. Please make sure all children are registered as part of the event. Please arrive from 2pm to register for the event. We will be starting the briefing at 2:30pm sharp. Once you have finished planting your trees, you are welcome to a sausage sizzle & drink. You will be able to leave when suited. All attendees are encouraged to bring along their own gardening tools to help out (as we do not have enough tools for everyone). If you would love to attend but do not have tools, let us know and we will try to help. Finally, as it is July, please bring a raincoat just in case. Hopefully we will be blessed with good weather, followed by an abundant wet season to establish the trees.
